You mentioned using the web app option instead of desktop to open teams. How do I do that?

Welcome to the Microsoft forum community.

From your mentioned description, we have checked few things. Generally, when we open Microsoft Teams in browsers, sometime “Use the web app instead” screen page comes on random basis. Once, you may try to open Microsoft Teams (https://teams.microsoft.com/) under InPrivate or Incognito mode in related browsers.

If the “Use the web app instead” screen page is not come, sign out from Teams application under “InPrivate mode” web browsers. Try to sign in again on Teams URL under “InPrivate mode” web browsers. When you sign in again and if you can see email address on login screen page, once please click on “Forget” option under 3 dots and try to see the result.
