Error Message when adding Project App

Question

Hello,

In MS Teams, I am trying to add the Project app to my projects and I get the following error message:

Correlation ID: c9eb497b-d7b7-4360-a257-aa041f77c284

I am using the free version of teams with Microsoft 365. 

Please advise.

Hi amata_9750,

I have looked further and found that you need a licence to add the Project app in MS teams free, even I found that it does require an add-on Project licence for MS Teams paid as well.

Please refer the screenshot for more details.

Hi Nik,

I tried both ways to add the Project App and I still get the following error message. 

Correlation ID: 1490f1fe-9b8f-4c55-bb1e-924fc5a75297

I tried adding Excel and Word apps, both worked.

Please advise.

Hi amata_9750,

I'm Nik, an independent advisor here to assist you with this.

Please make sure that you are adding the Project app to the public channel. It may have some limitation on the private channel.

To verify, Go to Team > Genera channel > To add a new tab, click on + > Search Planner App and click Add

To isolate the issue with desktop app, please access 'Teams Web App' https//teams.microsoft.com, use "Use the web app instead" option to open teams in a browser and check whether you can add Project app in the channel. It will help to isolate the issue with the desktop app.
