Saving Device Settings

Windows 10 Pro, current stable version.  Have Office 365 subscription.

We use a number of different conferencing apps, not by choice, but because of the variety of clients we interface with.

We have a free work/school account setup on this device.

In sound settings on this machine we have an external microphone and Logitech Brio webcam.  Set as the system default in "app volume and device preferences".  All applications in "app volume and device preferences" settings are set to these two devices, with the exception of a softphone, which is set to use a USB headset (Plantronics Blackwire 310).  Indeed the app for Microsoft Teams shows up as an app and I am able to set the volume slider and the Output/Input selectors are set to "Default"

This setup works as it should with a number of other conference software apps.  The problem is, each time Teams is started up, the output-input sets itself to the Plantronics headset, not to the default devices.  This is really frustrating as these default settings cannot (AFAIK) be "locked/saved".  So the app has to be opened to device settings and reselected each time the program is run.

Is there any way to Lock/save these output/input settings?  What about a registry change?  If so, how?

    Hi

My name is Daniel. I am an Independent Advisor.

I have tested this issue on my end.

I'm afraid it's still not possible to retain the device settings as of the moment. However, I believe this is indeed a good suggestion to be considered by the developer team.

I invite you to submit a feature request or suggestions for improvements to the developer team: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/
