Split screen during video call

When I video call my staff team, the screen flits between video callers and I don't have a split screen with all the staff on. How do I sort this?

Thank you.

This is likely because you're looking at a specific tab in Teams (across the top), or app (vertically down the left side).  Teams does not let you dock windows outside of the main app, so in order to show you the other screens (or desktop sharing) it resorts to only showing the one person talking in a small window.  If you double click on the person talking, it will usually taking you back to the 2x2 screen where you can see most everyone (up to 4).  Unfortunately, that 5th person won't be visible until they talk or become the focus.

I have the same question - what I don't understand is why everyone else in my video conf call can see everyone at once, but for my view it flits between each participant?

    Hi Kirsty,

Thank you for posting. At present when in a video call it only shows the active video for the last 4 people. If you're more than 4 people then I’m afraid to say currently it’s not feasible to achieve your requirement. However, this feature already requested in UserVoice now team working on it. You may visit the link Microsoft Teams UserVoice to vote or submit your feedback. We appreciate the time you take to share them with us and hope that in the near future, this feature can be included.

Your time and understanding will be highly appreciated.

    Best regards,

    Shyamal

We have a team of 5 members with the 5th recently joining.  When it was 4 of us, we all had the split screen -- 1x2 array -- with ourselves in a small rectangle at the bottom of the screen.

Then when we added the 5th person, none of us has split screen any longer and we bounce back and forth to whomever is currently speaking.

Is it because we have 5?  Wouldn't it kick to a 2x2 array?  Frustrating to have had it and then lost it...
