Teams window size

Whenever I click on the chat in a teams call, the window becomes huge, cutting off half the video, and I cant reach the buttons on the cop to close the chat, I tried minimizing the size but the chat was already so big I couldn't close it, and the only way to fix this is to leave the call and join back, but it happens all over again. My teacher uses the chat often so I need to use it to get assignments, but then I always have to leave and rejoin the class. how do I fix this?

Hi Mathew,

You could take advantage of the new meeting experience in Teams settings where new meetings and calls will open in separate windows, so you no longer have to worry about switching between chat and meeting in the same window.

To turn this on, please kindly click on your Teams profile photo on the top right and select Settings. Then please go to General and check “Turn on new meeting experience (New meetings and calls will openin separate windows. Requires restarting Teams.)” Please then restart the app to see if it works. For more information, please refer to Get a preview of new meeting features.

Hope this helps. Please feel free to let us know if there are any updates from you. If the above doesn’t work, to better help us understand your situation, please kindly provide us a few screenshots that could indicate your problem for further analysis. Thank you for your patience and cooperation:)

Best regards,

Jasmine
