I disabled the chat box for a couple of my students but discovered that when they are able to use the chat box in a channel that I created for group work. How can I turn the chat box off there too? Thanks!! I thought by turning off the chat box for these students on my Teams page would have prevented them from chatting altogether. :(

    Hi Marcy,

My name is RY, I'm an Independent Advisor and a Teamsuser like you.

You can set channel permission to "Only owners can post messages" by following these steps:

    1. Click on "..." on the teams channel > click "Manage channel"
    2. Under Channel settings, look for the option "Only owners can post messages" then select it

*If you are able to see different option, please let me know. You may take screenshot.
