Sharing folders or document libraries between different Teams

We have set up a Staff area for our subject where we are storing resources.  We need to set up class teams for each of our classes but we want the students in the classes to be able to view the resources held in our staff area.  I tried creating a document library which I then tried to share with the class teams.  The tab appeared for each team but the students were unable to access the documents.

How can I resolve this?  I don't want to have copy all the documents into the class materials folder for each separate class.

Can they access the files via a link to sharepoint (in a browser) ? This will let you know if the permissions are correct.

Did you add it as a document library? Did you give the students permission individually or as a group?

The members of the Staff team have full access.  I tried let the students have view only access.

As far as I am aware our students can't access sharepoint directly through Teams.

    Hi KES3003,

What permissions did you apply to the library? Can the students access it via sharepoint?
