Adding assignments to different channels

Question

We have just set Teams up to use in a Primary school. I am trying to organise assignments as we want to set them a few days in advance (for the rest of the week). I have added a channel for each day but can I only add assignments in the general channel. Is there a way around this to be able to post assignments in different channels?

I apologize for all the trouble it has caused and sorry about your time.

As per your description, Only Class type Teams automatically include Assignments tab in general channel. The built-in assignments app in Teams for EDU is team wide, currently we have no option to add the assignment tab to other channels and It is not feasible to assign assignments to individual channels in Microsoft teams

We feel your pain due to this limitation and we’re really feel sorry for it. Here is the User Voice please if you would like this feature, vote for it.  Assignment per channel or I would love for the assignment tab to show up in each channel created. I create a new channel to match each unit of study, so that the related team can see that this is a highly requested feature for users. This idea is also mentioned by many members. Microsoft uses the feedback to prioritize new feature programming. If the product developers have some updates about the feedback, they will post the updated information there directly.
