Spell Checking Issues in Teams for Mac

I have no idea why this question thread is locked (Spell check is unhelpful - Microsoft Community), but I have kind of a solution. Well...more of a work-around.

First, a restatement of the problem: In MS Teams for Mac, the chat editor will identify misspelled words, but will not offer suggestions if you right-click on the misspelling.

Now, the workaround: If you're in the master chat window, you can select "Pop out chat" (the arrow icon directly beneath your profile photo) to open the chat in its own window. For whatever reason, spelling suggestions will work in the pop-out window. This suggests to me that the problem is a bug in Teams for Mac because spelling suggestions work like they're supposed to in the Windows version of Teams (what a shocker).

Microsoft - please fix this.
