Virtual backgrounds

If I use a virtual background, it doesn't work well. Parts of my hair disappear and if I raise my hands, a wavy appearance happens; the wavy picture also happens around my head. I can't even use them. I tried to use a green screen behind me to see if that helped and it doesn't.

Help! Thanks!

Thanks so much. I will attempt to do this. I'm not real tech savvy but will get assistance. I have tried everything to get the virtual backgrounds to work. This seems reasonable.

    Hi

My name is Daniel. I am an Independent Advisor.

As per my experience, the virtual background feature doesn't always render perfectly but nonetheless can be considered as an "acceptable" solution.

Having said that, you may try other methods of generating virtual background by using OBS as a virtual camera for the MS Team and see if it makes any difference. In this case, OBS will act as a "bridge" between the camera and the MS Team. In other words, the rendering process works on the OBS side and not on the MS Teams side.

Please refer to the following article on how to configure OBS for MS Team.

    https://lucavitali.wordpress.com/2020/06/02/how...

You can download the OBS NDI plugin at the following link below:

    https://github.com/Palakis/obs-ndi/releases/

There are other additional benefits of using OBS for MS Team, you can customize your appearance in OBS software such as flipping images, create transition effects, create running text on the video screen which will enhance your presentation.
