I have students whose cameras are not connecting in Teams, but have previously done so. Their cameras work in other apps, but not is Teams today. Any ideas?

    Hello Rise,

In general, if issue happens to Teams desktop app, you could try to clear caches (on Windows OS):

Close Outlook and other apps that have integrated feature to Teams, go to File Explorer and type %appdata%\Microsoft\teams. Then delete the following files. You can move the files to another place to avoid the data loss:

    ·         In Application Cache -> Cache folder, delete all files in it.

    ·         In Blob_storage folder, delete all files.

    ·         In Cache folder, delete all files.

    ·         In databases folder, delete all files.

    ·         In GPUCache folder, delete all files.

    ·         In IndexedDB folder, delete the .db file.

    ·         In Local Storage folder, delete all files.

    ·         In tmp folder, delete all files.

    ·         Delete the file “settings".

Check updates to make sure the client is up-to-date. Update drivers, restart PC and reconnect device to PC. Sometimes issue can be related with network, if convenient, you could change a different network connection for test and check the result. When issue occurs, check camera status in Teams Settings -> Devices -> Camera to see if it's recognized by Teams.

    Kind Regards,

    Anna
