Why doesn't Access work with Teams?

We recently started using Teams with our Office 365. While we can open Excel & Word docs, we are not able to open Access database files at all. We have been downloading and then uploading Access files to use them, but this is not convenient and it leaves the files subject to multiple versions, or worse yet, one version that doesn't include some of the work done while the file is on a desktop. Is there a way to make this easier and more secure?

Hi, I'm Sergio, it's a pleasure to help you.

Unfortunatelly, if you work in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Visio files your colleagues can even view, edit, and collaborate on them, right within Teams, but if the file isn't one of the types mentioned above, it must be viewed in either SharePoint or its corresponding app.
