Editing a turned in assignment

I’m a student and I can edit an assignment on word that I already turned in on teams and has closed with the “edit in browser” function but if I make changes does my teacher see the edits as well?

    If your teacher is concurrently opening your assignment while you are editing it, your teacher will see the changes you are making.

    But if they haven't opened it before you unturned it, they wouldn't know that you've made changes.
