Hello

We have a user who is trying to share a Teams Recording with a user external to the company. This user has been added as a guest user and guest access has been granted in 365 teams admin. However when the external user tries to access the link an error message appears, with the error. "Sign-in is complete, but we cannot determine what resource you are trying to access" appears. I have checked the settings in Teams and OneDrive and sent the link myself, but cannot figure out why it is inaccessible. Any idea?

Simon

Dear Simon Evans1,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

As per your description, please don’t worry, we can work together to narrow down and resolve the situation.

It seems the when the external user unable to access the share link and get an error message.

As per your error message, sounds like your organization have set a Conditional Access policy (related to the conditional access setting on your tenancy) that is configured to apply to guests, and that is why the user is unable to access the share link. And your location/IP address is not added in the known network and that might be limiting your access sharing link. Most likely your organization have set Conditional access in Azure Active Directory.

This setting may not allow access Office 365 online resources outside your organization network. Given this situation, it is suggested that you contact you admin or the Global admin of the tenant to get the access checked. Check if there is any conditional access policy which disable your access. For more details, please see: Conditional Access in Azure Active Directory. The admin could be anybody from the IT department

We suggest you ask you try to access Office 365 online within your organization network or within your organization to see if this issue persist. And may I know if this situation happens on all time? Include all place, all devices, all network location?

Meanwhile, if possible, could you please upload a screenshot of error message for your reference, so we can understand your exact scenario and provide our suggestion in a productive manner, perhaps some related screenshots will be helpful.

Your understanding and patience will be highly appreciated. I hope that you are keeping safe and well!

Sincerely,

Waqas Muhammad
