I have teams app in my phone and laptop, and I have a problem in my laptop the chat is always locked for me and it prevent me of participating in my classes.

    There 2 possible reasons why you can use the chat feature.

    1. The admin has disabled the chat feature from the backend as explained in the following article: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/fo...

    You may need to reach out to the IT Admin to enable the chat feature. Please note your teacher could be not the admin, in some schools/universities they have their own IT dept as the admin but in some schools have the school principal as the admin. It really depends on how the institution is set up.

    1. Your team owner mutes you. Please reach out to your Team owner then ask him/her to unmute you as explained in the following article: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/fo...

    I asked the teacher if he locked the chat for me in class meeting but he didn't. and I tried to uninstall the program and reinstall it so the chat is open but it didn't.
