sharepoint audit logs

Hi Experts

i have a team site, few folders or files were deleted by one of the user lets say user1, i have restored it from recycle bin. in Recycle bin i was able to see user1 has deleted. user1 says he did not delete it. how can i get the audit logs for this team site stating user1 has deleted it.

Per my knowledge, there are two solutions:

Solution1:
You could go to Site settings > Site Collection Features and activate the "Reporting" feature. Then go to Site settings> "Audit log reports", and run a custom report according to your needs.

Go to the compliance center and search the audit logs, please refer to this article:

i was testing by removing username and putting the site name in compliance center but i am getting error i am using the sitename as
https://mydomain.sharepoint.com/sites/TestSite

For How many days do office365 retains the SharePoint logs?
