Hi,

I made a Excel file for my colleague to co-edit, and the file was saved in a shared folder on Teams.

Recently, my colleague face a problem while sync Excel file. He edited the file using "Open in Desktop App", and closed it after saving. Then, it stuck with this window:

After a long time, the file closed, but the file was not sync to Teams.

Recently, I got the suggestion about referring to https://www.onmsft.com/how-to/how-to-best-sync-files-in-microsoft-teams-to-your-device-using-onedrive to sync Teams folder to local OneDrive. It works for me. However, there is some issue so that my colleague cannot use local OneDrive to sync on his computer.

Please provide some instruction for me to fix it. Thank you in advance.

    Dear Samuel_1071,
I'm Renzo, I'll help you with your question.

The best practice is to sync with OneDrive client, or to edit the file in Excel for the web / Excel Online directly.

The problem begins, when the Excel file is to large, to be really honest, in my own experience when the file reach 5MB, it will create many issues with the co-workers that edit it in the local app without OneDrive client.

I suggest you to explain and advise to your colleagues to install OneDrive client just to sync that library, not for personal purposes, I mean, to not sync their personal OneDrive's, just that SharePoint library.
