Task Assignment Change Tracking

Hi All,

I have been trying to search for a solution or clean work around here but have not yet found anything.

Is there any way to see the history of changes in assignment of a task. In all other programs I have used you can see who has assigned a task to who. So I can assign a task to a team mate, if they assign it on to someone else this is easy to track. In Teams this doesn't seem to be feasible without cumboursome workarounds like email notifications (which in a large team and multiple projects makes no sense). Am I missing something?

For me this is a really critical basic feature when it comes to task transparency. Even in the best of colaborative and supportive teams to know who is involved or was involved in a task and not just leave the person left holding the ball as the one responsible for the task.

Cheers

Thomas

    Hello ThomasD25,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

I understand you want to track Tasks in Teams to see the history of who has assigned a task to who. Please correct me if I am wrong.

You can track You can assign all these tasks in Teams, and people who are assigned tasks can indicate in the Tasks app when they start and complete a task. The whole team can view team progress on completing the list of tasks, and managers who send you published task lists can track progress of those tasks—both whether they've been assigned and how close to complete they are. For more information on this please see Assign and track tasks in Teams (microsoft.com).

I will need to do further tests to reproduce your scenario on my side and update you on my findings.

We are looking forward to your response. Thank you for your cooperation.

    Sincerely,
