Teams admin rights

HI,

I wanted to know if an admin or a presenter could track, watch and record the desktop screen without prior permission or if we can install any further program running in the background and that can do that?

Can we track background activities during a meeting? Can we track other third party apps such as google chrome activity? So, for example a student is doing an exam, can an admin know what he or she has opened in the background and what it contains? Could this be possible if we are using either Teams for free or Teams for business on a Mac?

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for your post on the community forum. I'm Nik, an independent advisor here to assist you with this.

It is not possible to track/record participants desktop screen, background process, third party apps, chrome activity in a Team meeting, or even using the Teams app.

There is no option in MS Teams that allows you to track attendees activity on the laptop unless you have shared your desktop screen with the meeting organizer.

Regards

Nik
