Adding class or staff notebooks

Question

I a trying to add a class notebook to my class on Teams. This is what I am getting:

We don't support adding class or staff notebooks at the moment. https://aka.ms/TeamsOneNoteImport

I am having the same situation.

When I try adding it as a OneNote classroom then the students don't pop up and it opens up on Notebook anyway. Please help..

Every class team in Microsoft Teams comes with a built-in Class Notebook for educators and students. From your description, may I confirm if you are encountering this error messages when following these steps to connect your Class Notebook with class in Microsoft Teams? 

If so, to narrow down this issue, please kindly check if you can set up the Class Notebook with an blank notebook. 

Moreover, if you have added other teacher to this class notebook, you can contact the other teacher to see if they can successfully add the Class notebook to this class.
