Windows 2019 Essentials - comes with two core licenses and 50 user license, yet with 5 users it turns off every 7 days due to EULA issue. MS Gold Partners unable to fix and Microsoft won't respond to the issue they created but can't resolve. Has anyone else suffered this situation where a solution was found or did Microsoft just create a defective product?

    Hello   Aaron Crowe,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.

I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with Windows Server 2019 Essentials. It is not normal for the server to shut off every seven days due to an EULA issue.

I can suggest a few general troubleshooting steps that may help resolve the issue:

    1. Check that your system is fully up-to-date with the latest patches and updates from Microsoft.
    2. Ensure that you have properly activated your Windows license and that it is valid.
    3. Review the End User License Agreement (EULA) to ensure that you are in compliance with all terms and conditions.

I hope the information above is helpful.

If you have any question or concern, please feel free to let us know.

    Best Regards,

    Haijian Shan

Thank you for your suggestions. All patches and updates are up to date. The system itself works amazing well. However, since the Microsoft Gold Partner company installed, it continues to shutdown/shut off exactly 7-days from when it was last turned on. The issue was believed by the MS certified tech is that the two core licenses that accompany the product were likely installed out of order. I wanted to hire them to re-do the entire install again, but they wouldn't do that. I've paid more to Microsoft Gold Partners to try and fix this than it would have cost to purchase the non-Essentials product, plus user licenses. I don't believe this product was ever designed to actually work without this bug. Microsoft does not believe this problem is worthy of a conversation and won't even create a service trouble ticket. I wish there was someone knowledgeable enough to fix this. Of course, I'm happy to pay, as I have been for each of the prior failed efforts.

    Hello  Aaron Crowe,

    Thank you for your reply.

I'm sorry to hear that the suggested troubleshooting steps did not resolve the issue. It sounds like you have already tried working with a Microsoft Gold Partner to resolve the issue, but they were unable to fix it.

In this case, you may want to consider reaching out to Microsoft directly to see if they can provide any assistance. You can do this by submitting a support request through the Microsoft Support website.

If Microsoft can't help and you believe that the issue is related to the installation of the two core licenses, you may want to consider reaching out to a different Microsoft Gold Partner or a Microsoft Certified Professional to perform a fresh installation of the product.

Alternatively, you may want to consider upgrading to a different version of Windows Server that better suits your needs and does not have this issue. Or, you may want to consider hiring a third-party IT consultant or technician who specializes in Windows Server to take a look at your system and help diagnose and resolve the issue.

I understand that this has been a frustrating experience for you, and I apologize for any inconvenience caused.

    Best Regards,

    Haijian Shan

Thanks. I wish a means existed actually existed to speak to Microsoft about this non-stop problem. Their carefully scripted questions take me directly to a electronic text assistant, which cannot even comprehend the problem, much less solve it. It will not allow the creation of a service ticket. I've been considering suing Microsoft for all of my money back, just to get their attention.
