Problems with PowerPoint Presentation when moving between different channels meetings

Hi All.

Hope you can help please.

We're having problems with certain ppt slides becoming very distorted looking or the file completely disappeared when moving between meetings in different channels. This is a recent issue, we've used this file and ran these sessions before with a couple of other groups with no issues.

What happened:

Presenter presents the file in Room1 - a PPT with 91 slides, with various animations and images. File size is 75.4 MB.

The PPT file is shared in Teams - not sharing a 'Window' or 'Desktop'.

At slide 56 - the presenter and attendees split up to meet in smaller groups in 4 other channels. The presenter leaves the meeting in Room1 running with the file (so didn't end the meeting), whilst moving to other channels meetings and normally the slide is just there waiting when we return back to Room 1. But recently, when we come back to Room 1, the slide is all distorted with text missing all over.

At slide 74 - again, the problem happens when we return to the meeting in Room 1. But at slide 74, when we returned, the whole file had disappeared. The presenter had to reshare the file and flick through to slide 74 to continue.

We've also had some minor problems with glitches in animations on some slides (15-18). These are not bad like above, but the animation set up for text on these slides are not appearing in the order as they should so when presenting out of Teams.

Please note:

I've tried with more than one person presenting, from different devices/locations - same problems.

The problems happened when there are several attendees (tested with 4) - it didn't happen when I tested with just 1 other person.

Many thanks for your help in advance.

    Hi Star,

Thank you for contacting us. Based on your description, the meeting participants can't retrieve the PPT shared in Teams parked call when there're several attendees. As far as I know, the call park feature in Teams allows users to retrieve the on-hold call when they resume the call. So I checked in the recent service incidents in Teams server side but I didn't find any related issues of Teams meeting service.

In this scenario, I did some tests in my virtual environment and found this issue could be related with the network and computer memory. Teams in the virtual machine which has 4 GB memory and 1 Mbps network bandwidth network is hard to make multiple conference calls while maintaining the suspended screen sharing of the parked call. However when in the computer which has 8 GB memory and 2 Mbps network bandwidth network, the meeting service is more stable. In this scenario, please make sure the computers have free enough memory and more stable and fast network environment.

Besides, since the issue is related with Teams meeting service, it would be better to further look into the Teams media log. To collect the Teams media log, please refer to the private message.

    Regards,

    Marvin
