Does anyone know why I can sometimes delete announcements in Teams and other times, I do not have the option? I made a mistake on an announcement and am unable to edit or delete it.

    Good afternoon,

    I am the owner of the team. I created the announcement and posted it to multiple teams general page at the same time. I have been able to delete some announcements. However, I have several that I cannot delete. Below are two screenshots taken from the same team. One without the option to delete the other with. They were both created by me and I used the same technique for both.

    Hello Ciresi Angela,

    As far as I know, Deleting announcements in Teams channel is the same as deleting a ordinary message. Given your situation, may I know whether you are a member or owner of the team? There is a chance that you don't have the permission to edit or delete messages. So, I suggest you contact other owners of the team to help you check if you have the related permission.

    If the you still cannot edit the channel, I'd like to know if the team where you can delete announcements and the team where you cannot delete it are the same one. Besides, please tell me whether you can edit or delete ordinary message.
