Hi Evan,

I'm here to help.

Based on my knowledge, we could set up Teams Messaging policy to manage if Teams group owners can delete sent messages that users sent in chat, and if users can delete or sent messages.

To set up Teams Messaging policy, please kindly sign into Teams admin center with your admin account. If you are not a tenant admin in your organization, please kindly turn to a tenant admin for help. In Teams admin center, please go to Messaging policies and select an existing policy or create a new policy. In the policy details page, please check the settings according to your needs. For more information, please refer to Manage messaging policies in Teams.

You could also set up sensitive labels to classify and protect your organization's data and assign label policy to manage content with labels in your organization. For more information, please refer to Learn about sensitivity labels & Create and configure sensitivity labels and their policies.

I understand that these features may not meet all of your requirements. We are trying our best to provide you the best experience with Microsoft possible. If you would like features such as editing/moving other users messages enabled and help us improve Teams, please kindly take a moment and post your feedback on our Teams UserVoice Forum, where our engineers monitor and check fresh ideas posted by our customers and will take actions accordingly. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Best regards,

Jasmine
