Daylight Savings Time Assignment Error

Anonymous

So whenever I try creating an assignment post on TEAMS today, the time listed is not the correct time that I set it to be (see attached screenshot).  It's as if Teams forgot that it was Daylights Saving Time.

I tried using both the Teams desktop app and the browser app on my Desktop computer, tried using my laptop computer, tried using the app on my iPhone and this problem still happens no matter what.  My fiancee teaches in a different school district and is having this same problem.

Ok thank you!  I'll check back in on Tuesday if the problem persists.

    Hi Shawn,

    Thanks for the reply.

It seems like MS Teams is not able to sync the daylight saving immediately. Please allow it a day to see if the Teams services pick the latest daylight time change. If we don't, then we might need to report this bug to the product group.

Thanks very much for your help!  The current version of my Teams app is "1.4.00.4167 (64-bit). It was last updated on 2/27/21"

Unfortunately, I tried to solution in that other article and it did not work.  The "ON" switch was already on for me when I checked, but I turned it off then on again as you said, signed out of Teams and exited out of it, then signed back on through the Desktop app and the problem was still not fixed.  I tried it on both of my computers.

I will say though, that in the article you referenced, the person having the problem was also having their calendar on Teams show the incorrect time, and that is not the case with me.  The only problem that I am having is the assignment post time being 1 hour less than when I set it to be like I showed in the screenshot in my original post.

    Hi Shawn,

Thanks for your post on the community forum. I'm Nik, an independent advisor here to assist you with this.

May I know what MS Teams version you have? To find out what version of Teams you’re on, click your profile picture at the top of the app, then click About > Version. This shows you a banner at the top of the app that tells you what version you're running and when it was last updated.

Also, Have you set the daylight saving time automatically on your computer? If not, go to your computer settings, then to Time & Language -> Date & Time to check if the option to adjust for daylight saving time automatically is “ON”. If not, you can turn it off and back on to check if Teams time is updated.

I have looked around and found a community article that explains the issue and workaround here:
