Hello,
One of our users has an issue with a a shared calendar.
They have editor rights on this calendar but are somehow unable to edit or add calendar items.
They can do it through OWA but not through outlook 2016.
We are using Exchange 2016 on prem and office 2016.
It seems like recreating the profile works for about a week but we don't understand why the problem keep coming back.

i don't think this is it, i will check with the user but, the shared calendar is a user calendar that is shared to another user with editor rights.
it's not a connected shared mailbox's calendar.thank you,

2021-06-17T11:40:46.7+00:00 IHOw are they opening it? If the user is adding the calendar, it should show up as a shared calendar and this setting would apply. I would actually think that is how they would want to access it?

this is not the solution to the issue, I've checked and the checkbox is unchecked. also we are using fully online mailboxes -

I assume you have done an Office repair?
How about any updates? Is the Office client at the latest? -

2021-06-17T12:53:42.793+00:00 the office repair has been done but i am not sure about the version of the client since we are using WSUS and i can not check the available updates.
it is worth noting that only one calendar has this issue, the same user on the same windows and outlook profile can use other shared calendars with the Editor Rights -

Also consider moving the mailboxes to another database if possible ( Maybe start with the shared malbox) -

ALso , disable any Outlook Add-ins and open Outlook in /safe mode
