missing INVITE PEOPLE button

I am working as a virtual assistant for a client and we are just figuring out Microsoft teams. We wanted to start adding people to the team.

Then, we shared the screen. His Microsoft Teams doesn't have INVITE PEOPLE button (the one that's above JOIN OR CREATE A TEAM) and I was wondering why.

Can someone please help? Thanks.

We encountered this issue a couple of weeks back and after doing lots of reinstalling, trying the web and client versions to invite people to the team, we ended up re-adding the user at the backend as team owner and it worked.

My client is the "owner" of the Organization? By the way, would you know if there is a designated Microsoft Teams support to resolve this issue? I might need to contact them directly. I'm having a hard time getting a hold of them. I'm always directed to Office support team.

The client will not going to use the azure by himself but the client's organization team that manages their O365 since the Organization's policy differs depending on their needs. For Example in my experience. I also use TEAMS for Business on my main Job and I don't have a Teams Screen Recording by default and I need to request that in our Helpdesk with the proper business justification and after 24 hours they provided the access to me.

Hmmmm...he is the one who invited the screensharing. Is it that complicated? That he needs to use Azure Active Directory to have access to that? I am also using Teams and INVITE PEOPLE button is just there on the app. I didn't do any complicated stuff.

    Hello Pam,

My Name is Paul one of the Community Advisor and a Microsoft Consumer like you. My questions is does the client's MS TEAMS is a part of an Organization since to could be a permission issue and I am doubting that he/she doesn't have the permission to invite people and to resolve that the organizations Infrastructure team needs to assign that role to your client first in the Azure Active Directory to have that permission.

Option 2 if you are the person who invited the client for the screen sharing try it the other way around let the client invite you and let's see if that will make the Invite People will be visible as an option.

    Regards,
