Not all students getting assignment

Question

I have 12 students in a team, but when I post an assignment it says 0/7 turned in and shows the assignment only assigned to the first 7 in the class. All other teams have the correct number of members assigned. Not sure what is happening.

When you create a new assignment, you can try selecting every students to see if the assignment can be assigned to all students.

In addition, if you are using Teams client to create the assignment, I suggest you sign into Teams Web App and verify the result. This can help us to determine whether it is a client-only issue.

A test assignment only went to those first 7 again.

I removed the 5 students from the team and re-added them. Then I reassigned them the assignment. On the assignment page it says 0/5 turned in, but when I click on the assignment nothing shows up. On the other assignment for the first 7 it gives a status of whether they have viewed or turned it in. For the new 5 it just says To Grade: 0, Graded: 0.

Thanks for your post here.

From your description, you created an assignment but 5 students didn't get the assignment. Given this situation, I suggest you go to Grade tab or click the assignment to see who are not assigned to. After checking for the students, you can remove them from the team and re-add them as a student, then you post the assignment again to see whether the assignment is assigned to them. Please also make sure All students are assign to when you create the assignment.

If the problem still persists, to further assist you, please post a test assignment in your team to check whether the issue only occurred on the specific assignment.
