Failed to execute "Send Live" Command during MS Live Event

At the start of an MS Live Event, I got the message: "Failed to execute "Send Live" Command. One or more sources are now no longer available."

We had 12 presenters but only 2 were sharing video at a time. I was able to share video to the audience throughout the presentation, but when I went to share the presentation, I would receive that error message or a second error message: "Failed to execute "send live" command. Please try again." No matter if I shared my desktop or the powerpoint app, or if I shared from my network drive or from my desktop. It would not send live.

It has been suggested in a previous post that my bandwidth might be the problem; however, the other producer was on a totally different service in another city, and had the same errors. Also, I presented the day before and last week with no problems, with the same service provider/bandwidth.

After the event was eneded, and when I downloaded the video, there were serious problems and I had to use the alternate copy. I learned from the video that even though the error message was happening for me during the presentation, the presentation slides were sometimes working for the audience. In other words, even though in producer view the "live" screen had been blank the whole presentation, the audience sometimes (not the whole time) saw our frantic share, reshare, reshare, reshare disco show. I don't want this to happen again, what would be the solution?

You're welcome. Many of our fellow Teams users will greatly benefit from that fix in case you'll learn one. Thank you in advance.

Has your IT admin contacted support already? They can create a reactive support request and get a response to a query or technical support for troubleshooting any issues you've experienced using Live Events.

To do so, here are the steps:

    1. Sign in to https://admin.microsoft.com/
    2. Click Support > New service request.

-If they're in the new admin center, click Show all > Support > New service request.

    Regards,

    Thanks Didi,

I didn't mention it, but the first step I did was to log on and off again. So, you are right, that wasn't a solve. I have reached out to my local IT department, but they are not finding great solutions either. If I learn of a fix, I will post it here. As I see that I am not the only one with this problem.

    Hi, SMLEWISGOOD,

My name is Didi. I'm happy to help you today.

Sorry to hear about this issue. Some users who also encountered the same error message said that they've fixed the error by logging out and restarting Teams again.

Since it's not a permanent fix to the issue, I suggest giving feedback to the developers through the Help icon on the lower left of the app bar > Give feedback. This way developers would be aware of it and they could investigate the issue.

Your IT admin could also submit a support ticket through the Microsoft 365 admin center if many users are facing the same error.

    Best regards,
