TEAMS Video

Yesterday, Oct 13, during a TEAMS video call, I no longer could hover over my video or anyone else's and select the icon at the top and break the video out so I could move it around the screen.

I like to do this because it allows me to move the speaker up high by my camera and appear more like I'm looking right at the camera.

What's up?

Thanks,

Mike

Ashraf, thanks for your support, but that didn't work.

    Let me try some more.

Previously during a TEAMS video meeting (on Mac) I could hover over my video, or anyone else's, and I would get a little icon (like a picture in picture kind of look) and when I select it, the video would pop out and I could move it anywhere on my monitor.

    Thanks, again.

    Mike

Example looked like this. This icon is now gone.

    Dear Mike,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

Based on your description, I understand that you had a concern where you could not hover over your video in Teams meeting yesterday, Oct 13.

Please let me now if you are still facing this issue if you have had any new meetings after that incident.

If you haven't had a new meeting yet, please clear the teams temporary/cached files from the teams app's launch path that might have an effect the app's functionality.

To clear Teams cache in Windows

    1. If Teams is still running, right-click the Teams icon in the taskbar, and then select Quit.
    2. Open the Run dialog box by pressing the Windows logo key Image +R.
    3. In the Run dialog box, enter %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams, and then select OK.
    4. Delete all files and folders in the %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams directory.
    5. Restart Teams.

    Clear Teams cache in macOS

    1. If Teams is still running, right-click the Teams icon in the dock, and then select Quit, or press Command (⌘)-Q.
    2. In the Finder, open the /Applications/Utilities folder, and then double-click Terminal.
    3. Enter the following command, and then press Return:
       rm -r ~/Library/Application\ Support/Microsoft/Teams

    4. Restart Teams.

Kindly understand that sometimes our first answer may not solve the problem immediately. It depends on the information we get in the thread and the complexity of the problem. But through your cooperation, we can find a way forward together.

We're looking forward to your response.
