Files when someone leaves

My company department uses teams to host many files and share, collaborate and work on multiple projects. I will soon be leaving and we want to ensure that any files that I worked on, and shared with our team will be accessible when I leave. Is this possible, or should all files that I have be forwarded to the team lead so the work is not lost?
