How do I get Microsoft Teams to send me notifications when a task is created in Microsoft Planner located in Teams? I receive emails when a comment is made on a task on Planner, but not when a task is created. We don't use Microsoft 365.

We’re glad to hear your feedback and sorry for my slow reply since I out of office a few days.
Based on it, we’d like to know if you can receive notification that a task is created when you use Planner app or Planner web app. Because the Teams can just integrate with other applications and usually show the feature of application. It doesn’t modify the settings of original application. Therefore, kindly check the result when you use Planner app individually.

Thank you for your response. I have done all of these steps, and Planner is still not sending notification to me either through email or through teams.

Thanks for your post in the community.
If your team has installed Planner and your plan has a tab in Teams, you can receive a Teams notification when the task is assigned to you by someone.
Kindly you need to try the steps blow in order to enable the Planner assignment notifications in Teams:
1.In Planner for web, select Settings, and then under Planner, select Notifications.
2.Make sure the Someone assigns a task to me check box is selected.
