When creating an assignment it states "Assignments will post immediately...." however if I change the due date to a later date the assignment does not post immediately although the student will receive a notification of the assignment. I am speculating that the assignment will post on the due date??
I used Teams in spring of 2020 and this option was available that I could post an assignment immediately and have a due date at the end of the week.
Please look into this issue or any guidance.
Thank you in advance for your time

Hi Zoraida,
I am Nikhil, Independent Advisor here to work with you on this issue.
Yes, when you edit assignment timeline options, you can customize when your assignment will be posted(by updating 'Post Date' option) to students and also you can update assignment turn-ins.
You can select an early Post date and post an assignment immediately. Assignments will default to posting in the General channel for new assignments. Please refer screenshot for more details.
