Hi Team,

I need some suggestions and help on a task.

There is a request where I should create tasks in such a way that it dynamically assign for 6 team members per month. After a month, the same task should be reassigned to another member in a team.

For example, For this current month I got assigned 4 reports to run and i will be working on these 4 reports week wise for 1 month duration. After a month, these 4 reports should be automatically assigned to another team member and next month to third team member and so on.

I have 20 reports to be distributed among 6 team members and task assignment should happen monthly basis.

Please help whether we have a work around to execute this requirement.

Dear SravanthiG,

Good day! Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

According to description you want the tasks to be automatically reassigned to another users in Teams.

I’m afraid, Planner (Tasks in Teams) doesn’t have a built-in option to dynamically assign the tasks to different users and this action has to be performed manually. For reference: Reassign tasks (microsoft.com)

As a possible solution for this scenario you may create a Power Automate flow that would reassign tasks after a certain duration of time. Please check this article Add business logic for automated task assignment (contains video) - Power Apps | Microsoft Docs

To make sure you get an expert help on how to create a Power Automate flow, we suggest you to post your query in Forums - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com) site. This is a specific and dedicated channel for the questions related to Microsoft Power Automate. The members and engineers in this community have more resources and test environment to find the related answer to your concern.

Thank you for understanding.

Sincerely,

Igor | Microsoft Community Moderator
