Teams admin center - Connected users

Dear Microsoft Community,

As you can see on the subject, I'm trying to find a way to get all connected users with Teams.

I used the Teams report -> Team user activity -> and extracted the .csv .

That csv works but I don't have a clear, simple view of people that are/were connected with Teams, is it possible ?

I guess I could compare that csv list to a csv list of users but I wanted to know if there is a more simple, graphical interface way to do it directly in the admin center.

Thank you in advance for your answers !

Dear Anna,

I got hold of the Microsoft support and a technician helped me.

Here are the steps he gave me (useful if someone is searching how to do it) :

  1. click on Reports in left pane,
  2. click on usage
  3. Click on select utilization report drop down menu and select Microsoft Teams
  4. Under Microsoft Teams select "User Activity".
  5. Check last activity date it will not display the date for the users who are not connected to teams yet.

I was looking before in the reports inside the Teams admin center which gives you the people connected.

With this solution, you get all users that have a Teams-capable license and you check the last updated date, if it's blank the user never was connected.

Thank you !

    Hello Anatolye,

Sorry for I’m still a little confused, would you mind sharing more detailed description of your need with us for checking?

Currently I signed in Teams Admin center -> Analytics & reports, run report and downloaded it to csv file.

In csv file, it displays the display name, email if and activities of each Teams user who are active during the selected time range:

I noticed that you keep mentioning connected user, do you mean you want to get a list of all users who signed in Teams in a time range? If so, you may also use Office 365 Audit log: Search the audit log in the Security & Compliance Center

If I understood any important point, please do not hesitate to correct me.

    Kind Regards,

    Anna

    Hello Anna,

First of all, thank you for your answer !

Sorry if I wasn't clear enough, I want to know if there is a page telling me :

          - This user was/is connected through Teams.

          - This user never was connected through Teams.

What the CSV report and the audit log are giving me is the first option, telling me if and when a user connected to Teams, which is nice.

Now, I'm trying to know who wasn't connected to Teams, so I can go to them and connect them.

Please quote me if anything I said here wasn't clear enough !

    Thank you !
