    Hi APOORVASingh07,

I'm Nik, an independent advisor here to assist you with this.

You get this error when your phone number is associated with an existing Microsoft account as an alias.

You can check which email is associated with the number by logging in with your phone number on the MS Team mobile app then follow through with on-screen instructions.

If your phone number is already set to a Microsoft account as a primary alias then you can change the phone number or email address by these steps:

    https://support.microsoft.com/nl-nl/office/de-n...

Also, you could remove your phone number from the Microsoft account;: https://support.microsoft.com/nl-nl/account-bil...

    For more, see  https://support.microsoft.com/nl-nl/account-bil...

    Regards

    Nik

I've been having the same problem here for about 2 days now.

Even when trying the free version of Teams, it says the phone number has already been taken. Which is nonsense, since this number is connected to my account for about 7 years now.

I even disconned the phone number from my account, so that when trying to access Teams again it wouldn't send me this message, but it just happend again and I don't know what to do anymore.
