Teams Free setup attempt - error message : ******@domainname.com hasn't been added to your organization's directory. Contact your admin or try a different email.

Please note: ******@domainname.com is of course not my real email address - but I would of course prefer not to expose my email address to a public community forum. So therefore I use this as an example

As mentioned I get the above error message. But.... what organization does the error message refer to ? I just want to set up a new Teams Free with the user ******@domainname.com

Is the organization = 'domainname.com' (the last part of my email address) ? I know that another user in the 'domainname.com' domain has been used to set up a Teams Free (let's call him ******@domainname.com) - but does this mean that nobody else using 'domainname.com' emails can set up a new and *separate* Teams Free ??

What if I tried to sign in with ******@gmail.com account - would also only the first with an @gmail.com mail be able to set up a new Teams Free ?

Is the reason the following:

Is the Teams Free perhaps not available to personal users without their own domain - only for whole domains (like the domain used as an example here : "domainname.com") ?

Please help me solve this problem - or at least understand why this happens

Thanks in advance

Frank L.

I tried to submit my screenshot through the personal message link above and received an "access denied" error.  How do I submit my info to determine why I am unable to set up a free teams account?

    Hello LisaLee#,

Private message cannot access by other users, so this is the reason that you get the “access denied” error. Kindly post new thread on our community site, so our team can help you personally to resolve your issue.
