Can you edit the Channel that assignment notifications gets posted to? I tried and the edit feature is not active. This would be helpful.

    Thanks for the information, Sue.

Based on the link below, you can choose the channel where you'd like notifications for this assignment to post by selecting 'Edit' next to 'Post assignment notifications to this channel'. I believe that's where you get the error, right?

If I may ask, did you assign it to multiple classes? If so, assignments to multiple classes or individual students can only post to the General channel as mentioned on the note from the link:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/crea...

    I hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Didi

    Hi Sue,

We should be able to edit the assignment as stated in the article which was also mentioned by the admin at the UserVoice forum. https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/599...

Please also check if the issue occurs on the web app. https://teams.microsoft.com/

I did not assign to multiple classes.

It seems like once the assignment is assigned the channel cannot be changed.

    Hi SueLQ,

My name is Didi, an Independent Advisor. I'll be happy to assist you today.

If you don't see the Edit this channel option, it means that a team owner has changed the permissions that members have.

Let me know if you have other questions.

    Regards,

    Didi
