Student Cannot Access Assignment

Hi there,

I have a class of about 60 students, and only one of them is experiencing problems in Teams.  When he clicks on the Teams assignment, it says "You are not added to this assignment." These are the things we have tried to fix the problem:

  1. Uninstall and reinstall Teams
  2. Deleted him from my class and re-added him
  3. Went to the assignment and made sure it was assigned to ALL students from the beginning of the year

This is what it looks like in my gradebook for ALL his assignments. It's a gray line and nothing happens.

    Thanks Christina_12345 for additional information. Can you please ask your student to perform the following?

    1. Exit Teams completely so that it is not running in the background or even in the System Tray. You can right-click and exit from there or press Ctrl+Shift+Esc shortcut to open Task Manager and stop Teams task from there.
    2. Press Windows key+E shortcut to open File Explorer and paste this location in the address bar: %appdata%\Microsoft\teams
    3. In the window that pops up, you will find that you need to delete before restarting Teams again:

    3.1. Delete all files in Application Cache > Cache

    3.2. Delete all files in blob_storage, Cache, databases, GPUCache, IndexedDB, Local Storage, and tmp folders.

    1. Open your MS Teams app and login with your Microsoft account.

    No the student was added normally just like all students when I started Teams, and I assigned it to all students including him when I created the assignment. And yes it happens both online and in the Teams client app.

    Can you please confirm if the student who could not see the assignment was added after the assignment was posted? Also, does the issue happen to both online and Teams client app? Thank you.
