Teams Approvals needs markdown support

Hello,

Don't know exactly if this matter is related to Teams, Teams Approvals or just Power Automate Approvals but as "Teams Approvals" recent launch, many users from inside my company would like to manage the approvals directly in Teams.

Unfortunately, an approval process require in the "details" section some information, that really needs formatting.

We manage to make that details section look good in Outlook using the information from here: https://aka.ms/approvaldetails but in Teams is a total disaster.

From the mentioned document I have understood that some of the features (more like a LOT of them) are missing in Teams (like headers) but also missing things like bold, italic and links.

Also the "numbered lists" that article mention that should be available in Teams are also missing.

Without this "little things", Teams Approvals will be pretty useless, or limited to Teams initiated approvals only... but cannot ignore the rest of the approvals that pouring in Teams...

Outlook message look like this:

but Teams message look like this:

So, is there a way to get a consistent look with a "minimal formatting" in Teams and Outlook?

Kind Regards,

Lucian

This forum is targeted to end-users, not admin issues and while we can answer some of these questions, there are other forums better suited to these kinds of questions.

I was debating between power automate and teams - but didn't think it fit in the Teams forum in the new Q&A and thought maybe someone in power automate would have faced the same issue and knew how to solve it.

Q&A:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/produc...

They also have the tech community.

https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/communit...

And developer forums at MSDN, but I don't think its a developer issue.

It's safe to say they have way too many different forums. :( The tech community is supposed to be more about discussions, best practices etc, not support, but it gets used for support too.

    Hi Diane,

Thank you for your message, I will try to post a message to Power Automate community, even though it seem more like a Teams problem because the approvals are working perfectly except in Teams. ;-)

    Kind Regards,

    Lucian

    Hi Lucian,

As far as I know, that is not possible, but double check with the people in the power automate community.
