    Hi NancyRussell2,

    Thanks for your reply.

It looks like that the Administrator of tenant 'Indiana University' has not allowed guests access to your yahoo account, I suggest you reach out to them because it requires their involvement to enable your access as guest.

Please refer to this article regarding error code AADSTS50020:

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msteams/for...

This article explains how to authorize Guest access in Microsoft Teams:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams...

After the admin has granted you guest access please ask the admin to add you to a team: https://support.office.com/en-gb/article/add-gu...

    Regards

    Nik

I am not able to log in to Microsoft Teams in an way. I get this error message:

Troubleshooting details If you contact your administrator, send this info to them. Copy info to clipboard

Request Id: 522341e7-f23f-4c83-b4b9-3f88bf13bd01Correlation Id: 5a16e52a-3b8f-403a-b2b8-889d67147ac5Timestamp: 2021-05-01T19:50:57ZMessage: AADSTS50020: User account '******@alumni.iu.edu' from identity provider 'live.com' does not exist in tenant 'Indiana University' and cannot access the application '5e3ce6c0-2b1f-4285-8d4b-75ee78787346'(Microsoft Teams Web Client) in that tenant. The account needs to be added as an external user in the tenant first. Sign out and sign in again with a different Azure Active Directory user account.

Flag sign-in errors for review: Enable flaggingIf you plan on getting help for this problem, enable flagging and try to reproduce the error within 20 minutes. Flagged events make diagnostics available and are raised to admin attention.

as said before I am logged into Microsoft 365 with a yahoo acct.  I am going to try and delete my Teams app and try to reopen.  I wish I could have tried the steps you laid out for me.

    Hi NancyRussell2,

Thanks for your post on the community forum. I'm Nik, an independent advisor here to assist you with this.

To narrow down the issue, please check if you see a similar experience on the MS Teams web app.

Go to access 'Teams Web App' https://teams.microsoft.com, use the "Use the web app instead" option to open teams in a browser(preferably Chrome or Edge) and check the outcome. It will help to isolate the issue with the desktop app.

please clear cached MS Teams login password from credentials manager:

    1. Open the Credentials Manager (Control Panel > User Accounts > Credential Manager)
    2. Select Windows Credentials
    3. Under Generic Credentials, you will see one called: msteams_adalsso/adal_context_segments.

Also, any credentials entry with "MicrosoftAccount:user=" keyword

    1. Delete them
    2. Sign out and Sign-in again
    3. Try accessing Ms teams app again

If the issue is specific to the MS Teams desktop app, then try clearing the app cache by these steps and try again:

    https://www.uvm.edu/it/kb/article/clearing-team...

Please let me know the outcome, and I'll further look into this.
