Does anyone know why a pupil is receiving the message 'access is denied' when they try to open a document in assignments?

    Hi Mrs Sparks,

    Thanks for your reply.

Please ask the pupil to clear the MS Teams app cache or force close and try again. If still the issue, then try reinstalling the app from App store and check the outcome.

Also, remove the pupil as a Team member and add again.

To narrow down the issue with the mobile app, I would suggest to pupil access on some other device and check if the assignment document is accessible or not.

    Regards

    Hi Nik.

I can confirm that I have added the document as a resource, and this is also in the files folder on the Teams channel.

The pupil is not new but it was explained that they were using Teams via phone. Also, they have a sibling linked in another channel who also uses the same phone but has no problems accessing documents.

    Thanks in advance.

    Mrs Sparks.

    Hi,

I'm Nik, an independent advisor here to assist you with this.

To help you further, could you please help me with more details?

    1. May I know that if you have shared the document by uploading it to your OneDrive and share the link with pupils?
    2. Have you uploaded the assignment document directly to the "Add a resource" section?
    3. Also, do you see this issue with some pupils that have been added to class recently or all the pupils?

Please let me know the source of document location, and I will look at things for you.

    Regards

    Nik
