Additional team and channel-related features and issues within Microsoft Teams for Education

Regarding your issue, suggest you to check Microphone is enable for Teams from your Windows setting and Teams app setting.
A. For Windows Microphone setting :
- Windows Key + i > Privacy > Microphone > Make sure that Allow apps to access your Microphone is ON
- Also down below and check Microphone is ON for Teams. you may try to re-enable this setting.
B. For Teams Microphone setting :
- Click your profile picture from Teams App > Settings > Device > Under Audio device, check correct device is selected
- Also check your Teams app is updated with latest version: You can update your Teams with select “Check for update” option available under Teams.
C. Make a Test call:
- After verify the above settings, make a test call to check the issue. In a test call, you'll see how your mic, speaker, and camera are working. Follow the instructions from Test Call Bot and record a short message. The message will play back for you. After that, you'll get a summary of the test call, such as your device is connected or not, device not found, network issue. Based on such error message make changes.
- For test call: Go to Teams device setting > Choose Make a test call under Audio devices.
D. If test call has no issue, try to clear Teams cache and check if it helps to resolve your issue.
- Fully exit the Microsoft Teams desktop client. To do this, either right click Teams from the Icon Tray and select ‘Quit’, or run Task Manager and fully kill the process.
- Go to File Explorer, and type in %appdata%\Microsoft\teams.
- Once in the directory, you’ll see a few of the following folders:
- From within ‘Application Cache’, go to Cache and delete any of the files in the Cache location.: %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\application cache\cache
- From within ‘Blob_storage’, delete any files that are located in here if any.: %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\blob_storage
- From within ‘Cache’, delete all files.: %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\Cache
- From within ‘databases’, delete all files.: %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\databases
- From within ‘GPUCache’, delete all files.: %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\GPUcache
- From within ‘IndexedDB’, delete the .db file.: %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\IndexedDB
- From within ‘Local Storage’, delete all files. : %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\Local Storage
- Lastly, from within ‘tmp’, delete any file. : %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\tmp
- Once finally done clearing, you can now restart Teams from your local desktop and all cache will be cleared from the desktop app.
E**.** If you have deferent Audio device, suggest you to check if different microphone is working or having the same issue.
