OneDrive Sync Problems After Teams Use

I hope you can help me. I've fallen into a obsessive cycle trying to get this to work. I had no problems syncing my work OneDrive to my home computer. The business allows it. Since starting Teams at work, I can no longer do it. I am getting this error below.

I've tried everything I can to fix it. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

    Hi Robert,

Thanks for the detailed information, please refer to the below suggestions. :)

    1. Refer to methods provided in this article: Sorry, OneDrive can't add your folder right now.

*Considering the issue only occurs to your OneDrive, you may just check the first three solutions.

    1. Unlink OneDrive and select the Change Location option when you set up OneDrive again.

2.1 Turn off, disable, or uninstall OneDrive (The “Unlink OneDrive” section)

*Steps: Click the blue OneDrive cloud icon in the notification area and select More -> Settings -> Account -> Unlink this PC -> Unlink account.

2.2 Sync files with OneDrive in Windows (The “Key points in OneDrive Setup” section)

    * Create a new folder with a new name as the OneDrive sync location.

    1. If you cannot unlink OneDrive or the method doesn’t work. Try to re-install OneDrive.

3.1 Turn off, disable, or uninstall OneDrive (The “Uninstall OneDrive” section)

3.2 Click here to download the latest 19.232.1124.0010 version of OneDrive.

If all the suggestions don’t help. :( After consulting, you may need to ask the admin to raise a ticket for you for further investigation. I’m willing to help you, but we have exhausted all the suggestions I can think out.

Really sorry for the inconvenience. Appreciating for your understanding.

    Best Regards,

    Hugo

Thanks so much for the help...

    Here are my answers...

    1. Are you trying to sync your personal OneDrive for Business (ODFB)?
    • Yes. ODFB. When I do it on my mac's it works perfectly. On my windows 10 machines it gives me this error.
    1. When did you get this error message?
    • When I try to first setup OneDrive for my business account. So, I launch OneDrive and put in my credentials and then find the location that I want to store the files, then I get the error.
    • I can create and share folders from the web interface but I cannot get the OneDrive setup on the PC to try what you are asking.
    • Have not heard from other colleagues as we are working from home. Many of them use macs so it would still work.
    1. Check whether you can access your personal ODFB after login to the portal.office.com or access the shared folder/document library which originally locates in another ODFB/SharePoint Online.
    • I can access everything online through browser without issue. I can share folders. I cannot sync to desktop.
    1. If you can successfully access the folder/document library, sync it again from the browser.
    • Will not work. It gives me a similar error.

Thanks again for your help. Really appreciate it.

    Hi Robert,

May I confirm some related information about this issue?

    1. Are you trying to sync your personal OneDrive for Business (ODFB)?
    2. When did you get this error message?

When you open the OneDrive sync client?

When you try to sync new folders from your personal ODFB?

*Click OneDrive icon, More -> Settings -> Account -> Choose folders.

Or When you try to sync a new folder which is shared by another colleague?

    1. Will your colleagues encounter the same issue?

Besides, you may try the below suggestions and check the results.

    1. Check whether you can access your personal ODFB after login to the portal.office.com or access the shared folder/document library which originally locates in another ODFB/SharePoint Online.
    2. If you can successfully access the folder/document library, sync it again from the browser.

    Best Regards,

    Hugo
