Various text editor bugs

Never was too fond of the actual writing process in teams, but it seems to getting worse every month. Currently, I'm seeing these bugs:

  • Bullet points: This is driving me crazy: Start with a bullet point, write some text, press enter to create a new bullet point. This sends the message rather than creating a new bullet point. This has been present for 2-ish weeks now, it's ridiculous. Literally every editor (e.g. this HTML editor) can do this, but not the primary communication tool of our company. Seeing this on Windows, same for colleagues on a Mac.
  • Getting out of a code block (triple back-ticks) also isn't reliable anymore. Sometimes i have to submit the message so that i can continue to write regular text (that isn't in the code block anymore.
  • In-line code formatting (single back-ticks) has been hit and miss forever. Sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. Never saw a pattern there.

Please get us some proper QA. Seriously.

    Sorry to hear you encounter errors when writing. I highly suggest giving feedback to Teams regarding this matter so developers would be aware of it. They are continually improving the Teams experience and they use the feedback to make Teams better.

    To do so, you may click on the Help icon from the left navigation bar of the Teams app > Give feedback (desktop and web)

    On mobile, go to Settings > Help & feedback > Send feedback
