Adding images

Hi

I have been adding images to my notebook pages using the insert screen cut function and then annotating for extra information using a tablet and pen. I then open in class notebook and distribute pages to students ready for each lesson. Everything has worked fine until last night when there started to be a problem with the images only. The images are not appearing but the words contained in them are all in one bit and too difficult to read clearly and obviously they do not match the annotations as they are in a different place. I have added an example so that you can see how different they look. I have tried to add the image directly into the class notebook in teams but it won't load properly.

Can you please let me know how to sort this problem - I don't understand why it has only just started doing this - no issues for the last month.

Regards,

Karen Witter

Hi Karen,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused at your end.

Per the description provided, we understand the images or files uploaded in the OneNote Class Notebook are not displaying the content when they are accessing in the OneNote for the web or Microsoft Teams (Microsoft Teams uses the Office Online UI and features).

We have received similar reports from the members in this community, also we can repro similar situation from our end. So, we refer to some internal resource and noticed this behavior is reported by other users to a related team.

In addition, we also noticed there is a related Service Incident TM238883: Service degradation: Some users may be unable to insert files in Class Notebook within Microsoft Teams, where we assume the situation you are encountering should also be related to it and currently related team is working on it.

Moreover, we also set the primary thread: My uploads to the assignments show up as blank spaces - Microsoft Community and request you subscribe to it for any further updates. Also, we are going to lock this thread where it will be easy to identify for other members who are facing similar problem.

At last, we can view the content of uploaded files in Class Notebooks via accessing them in OneNote application, so for meantime you can use it as a workaround.

Appreciate your understanding and stay safe! 😊

Best Regards,

Chitrahaas
