Missing Toast Notifications option

Hello,

I am trying to turn off toast notifications in the Microsoft teams desktop app because I find the constant purple pop-ups on the side of the screen annoying but I seem to be missing the option to in my settings?

I know that to turn it off, you click on your profile picture, then go to settings, then notifications, then messages section, but that's the problem. I do not have a messages section when I go into my settings, my sections start with "Email." I attached a screenshot to show it.

How do I get the messages section to appear in my notification settings? I don't know what the problem is. I have tried turning off a bunch of different things but the toast notifications will not go away. Please help.

Thanks for the reply. Kindly check if you are referring to the settings in the image below. if so, I'm afraid it's not what the settings for notifications look like in the recent version anymore.

From the Notification settings in the recent version, you could turn off Replies under Chat, Mute Meeting Chat notifications under Meetings, or select Custom and adjust the settings under Teams and Channels and see if there's any change.

Other than putting in a request, is there no other way to stop these pop-ups from appearing on the side of my screen? I posted a screenshot of it just make sure we're talking about the same thing. The purple pop-ups on the screen in the picture.

I've seen videos telling me how to do it online but like I said I didn't have the option.

At this time, there is no option to turn off toast notifications. We can only hide the message preview which is turned off from your settings under Appearance and sound.
