I created a free teams account using my personal Microsoft account.  Unfortunately, I selected to use for work and it created the default directory org.  I would like to delete the org.  Using simply my personal account.

I began walking through the help steps but when I attempt sign into admin center (step 3). I am told that you cannot use a personal account.

Any Ideas?

    Hi MichaelBQuinn,

Do you remember what free organization name you have set? If you didn't set up anything, then try going to your entire email address without @ and period, e.g. ******@MichaelBQuinnyahoocom.onmicrosoft.com

To know the org name, go to https://portal.azure.com/ with your personal email address.

    1. Click on "Azure Active directly" from left pane > on the overview page > look for tenant information page
    2. You could find the "Primary domain", which is your org domain.
    3. Now, your account will be admin@Primary domain

    Hi MichaelBQuinn,

Thanks for your post on the community forum. I'm Nik, an independent advisor here to assist you with this.

Please try these steps to login on admin center:

    1. Go to [https://admin.microsoft.com/AdminPortal/Home#/h...](https://admin.microsoft.com/AdminPortal/Home#/homepage)

    2. Sign in with your Teams admin account (admin@[orgname].onmicrosoft.com)

    	1. Reset your password if you've never signed in with that account yet

        3. Follow the next step from the support document here: [https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/dele...](https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/delete-your-teams-free-organization-2c28cfcf-3fbf-497c-938f-8815a8f6a6b9)

Also, please note that the process to delete MS Teams free organization and clear all references of your account from backend servers may take up to 7 days, so please wait as suggested in the article and complete each step carefully.

    Regards

    Nik

Thank you for the prompt reply.  Unfortunately,  That's not possible.  My personal microsoft account actually utilizes an old Yahoo email.  When I attempt to login with that and format it to the onmicrosoft.com format I receive the below response.

If i use the email account alone, I receive a message that I cannot use a personal account.
