I recorded an interview on MS Teams and although the recording states that it lasted an hour it stops at 31 minutes, I need this recording for my PhD. I have no idea what I can do about this, it doesn't make sense to me as it states it recorded the full interview but I can only play back the first half, any ideas?

Have you tried to download the video to the local computer then play the video from the local computer instead?

    Hi Daniel,

So to make it more complicated (I was an MS Teams newbie when I started these recordings), I had a calendar meeting set up through outlook and joined the chat through that (no channel) so when the video call ended the video just went ino the 'chats' tab - and expired after 20 days. I didn't think there was an issue because I could see that the recording was showing as 1 hour and 4 mins when I checked it, video working etc. so I never thought it might stop half way through

    Hi

My name is Daniel. I am an Independent Advisor.

I suspect it could be an encoding issue.

What happens when you download the recording from MS Teams online?

Please follow these steps below to isolate the issue:

    1. Please go to your computer then open your chrome or edge browser as the only recommended browsers to access MS Teams online.
    2. Please go to MS Teams online https://teams.microsoft.com
    3. Then try to log in.
    4. Go to the Files tab on the channel, select the recording then download the video to the local computer.

Are you experiencing the same issue when you have downloaded the video from MS Teams online?
