Drawing on the participant's screen

Hello, when the other person shares the screen and I want to draw on that screen, I cannot draw. I can only draw if I share the screen myself. While the other person is making a presentation, I want to draw and scribble the points I want to draw attention to on their screen.

    Dear Ozdogan_Edu,

    Greetings!

Thanks for reaching out to this community.

Based on your description, I understand your need to draw on the participant's screen.

Based on my knowledge and experiences, while using PowerPoint Live to share content, only presenters can use Laser point or draw on PowerPoint slides in Microsoft Teams meetings themselves. You may try to let the presenter use annotation while sharing your screen in Microsoft Teams - Microsoft Support.

When the presenter is sharing screen in a meeting, he/she can select Annotate from the presenter toolbar,

The presenter may also need to set the option that controls who can annotate your shared content to let all participants annotate.

    To choose who can annotate:

    1. Select Settings menu  from the Whiteboard toolset.
    2. Select Everyone can annotate .

Then all participants will see the Microsoft Whiteboard toolset at the top of the shared screen. Everyone in the meeting can begin annotating right away.

To draw attention, you may try to use the Laser Pointer (Alt + L) or other tools in the Whiteboard toolset like Pen, Sticky notes.

    Tip:

    1. You can only annotate while screen sharing, not while window sharing.
    2. As a meeting participant, you can also annotate from mobile if the presenter is sharing from their desktop.

Appreciate your patience and understanding and thank you for your time and cooperation. Have a nice day!
